QUESTIONS FROM MEGS

If you could only read one book for the rest of your life, which book would it be? Why?

This is hard, but I’m not going to cheat and name a series (Harry Potter would be my go-to answer.) I’m going to go with one of my favorite books ever and say Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls.

What was the first book that made you fall in love with reading?

I’ve been reading since I can remember so I’m not sure, but I did really start avidly reading when I picked up The Boxcar Children series by Gertrude Chandler Warner.

What is your favorite book quote? Why?

“Books are mirrors: you only see in them what you already have inside you.” —The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon

How many books are currently on your TBR? (And be honest, we’re all book addicts here!)

According to Goodreads, 623 as of right now!

Name one talent that you have (other than reading haha!)

I like to think I’m pretty good at baking!

What is one musical instrument you wish you could play?

The guitar! I tried once. That’s when I realized I am not musically talented. I was awful.

What is your favorite book genre? Why?

It changes with the season to be honest. Right now, thrillers or horror.

Who is your favorite fictional character?

Wow Megs!! What kind of question is this?! I will go with Hermione Granger.

What is a meal you could eat forever and never get tired of?

Tacos baby!!

If you could live in any fictional world, which would you live in? Why?

Hogwarts because it is magical!

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Be true to who you are.

QUESTIONS FROM KRIS

What is your nickname?

Dani

What is the book that really got you into reading?

See answer above! Number 2 of Megs questions.

Do you have a posting schedule?

Nope. I post randomly.

How do you drink your coffee/tea?

Cream and about 2 or 3 sugars for coffee. For tea, no cream and 2 or 3 sugars.

Do you prefer physical books or e-books?

Physical books all the way!

Have you ever played sports?

Nah. I don’t like sports.

Can you read while listening to music?

No! I need complete silence.

Favorite book of 2017 so far?

The Shadow of the Wind

Where do you get most of your books from?

Secondhand bookstores or Goodwill for physical books. For e-books, I get most of my books from Amazon sales.

Favorite animal?

Cats or owls.

When did you start blogging/make a Youtube channel?

I started this blog at the end of June 2017!

QUESTIONS FROM COURTNEY

What was the worst book you ever read or stopped reading?

I’ve only ever not finished one book that I started and that was White Bird in a Blizzard by Laura Kasischke. It was also the one and only e-book I have returned.

What kid’s movie, where you scared of as a child, but like now?

I was a weird child. I loved horror movies. My answer is none.

What quote inspires you?

From one of my favorite books of this year: “I want to find self-worth without needing it to come from someone’s approval.” — Starfish by Akemi Dawn Bowman

What is your least and favorite blogging post and why?

Favorite: https://theintrovertedbooknerd.wordpress.com/2017/06/30/it-by-stephen-king-spoiler-free-review/

This was my very first review and I think it was a really in-depth book review. One of the better reviews I have written in my opinion.

Least: https://theintrovertedbooknerd.wordpress.com/2017/09/07/black-bird-of-the-gallows-by-meg-kassel-spoiler-free-review/

I just don’t like the photo that I took.

How do you promote your blog?

I mainly promote my blog on Twitter.

Where is your favorite place to read?

In my recliner at work.

What are some things you haven’t seen or read, but know everything about because of popular culture?

Sarah J. Maas’ books. I haven’t read them, but I feel like I could write a review on them just by how much has been spoiled for me.

How would someone describe your blogging style?

Casual. I don’t have a blogging schedule and I just put up whatever I feel like writing that week. I blog when I’m in the mood to and don’t force myself to stick to a schedule.

What do you find most challenging about blogging about your topic?

I sometimes have trouble expressing my feelings about a book I really loved when writing it’s review. I just don’t always think my reviews do amazing books justice.

What is the most ridiculous fact you know?

Cows can’t go down stairs. Thanks Bob’s Burgers!

In 40 years, what do you think people will be nostalgic for?

Computers. I feel like our technology will surpass them in the future.

      1. I’d say I maybe read the first 30? I really loved the first one and wanted to own a box car to live in when I was a kid!

  1. I agree I would LOVE to go live at Hogwarts and learn magic – it would be such an amazing world to inhabit! Imagine the experiences…

  2. “I was a weird child” is how I describe myself often haha. And same with me with Sarah J. Maas! I’ve read so much about the drama with the characters and critiques from different perspectives that I could write a review of the later books (I read the first one). Also, thanks for yet another reminder I need to read Shadow of the Wind!
