The Birthday Book Tag

Hey guys! Guess what! It’s my birthday!! What better way to celebrate than a birthday book tag!! Woohoo! I saw this tag over on my friend, Dorka’s blog. Check out her post here! Dorka, can you believe I actually remembered to do this??! Let’s get on with the tag!

COUNT YOUR BIRTHDAY ALONG YOUR BOOKSHELF AND THEN SUBTRACT YOUR BIRTH MONTH

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness! I actually haven’t read this book, but I really want to! I’ve heard such great things about it!

IF YOU COULD SPEND YOUR BIRTHDAY WITH ANY FICTIONAL CHARACTER WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

Is it any surprise that I would pick Hermione? I just love her so much! She’s smart and brave and loves books! I’d love to sit down and have a chat with her about books!

FIND A BOOK THAT TAKES PLACE IN THE SEASON YOU WERE BORN IN

Technically I was born in the Fall since Winter doesn’t start til after my birthday, but to be honest, I always have snow on my birthday where I live so I’m going to say I was born in Winter. Easy enough, I just read two books that primarily take place in the Winter season! The Bear and the Nightingale and The Girl in the Tower! If you have been following along with my blog recently, you will know that I adore this series!

FIND A BOOK THAT IS THE COLOR OF YOUR BIRTHSTONE

My birthstone is turquoise. Kind of a hard color to find for a book cover. So, I’m going with Wonder by R.J. Palacio. It’s the closest I am going to get to turquoise. Also, I still really need to read this book! I want to watch the movie but I refuse to go watch it until I have read the book first!

PICK A BOOK SET IN A TIME PERIOD, WORLD, OR COUNTRY YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE BEEN BORN IN

This should come as no surprise, but Hogwarts of course! I really just want to live in that world forever and be a witch!

I hope you all enjoyed this tag! It was a lot fun! If you are reading this, then YOU should totally do this tag when your birthday comes around and link back to me so I can see your answers! ‘Til next time!

  1. Happy birthday girl ! 🎁🎉☃ this was a cool tag to do! I think I might do this when my birthday comes around. Mine is in February, the 13th actually. 😊 You picked great book choices too. I hope the rest of your birthday is wonderful.

  2. As a HUGE book reader ( to the point where 13 years ago in HS ppl thought I was a librarian) I would say that the book A Discovery of Witches was not THAT great. Quite honestly I think when I read it years ago I gave it a 3.5/5 but I still read them all lol (of course). I just got bored of the “let me make tea” for what felt like every few pages. In terms of the writing, however, I cant say that It was bad. I liked that the story line itself was refreshing too! Its not a bad read, just not a great one either.
