Assume nothing.

Okay you guys, I really freakin’ enjoyed this book. Like, holy amazeballs. This is the first novel these women have written together and it was a pure masterpiece! I’ve read my fair share of psychological thrillers and this is by far one of the best! Usually I can predict at least one plot twist, but honestly, I did not see any of the twists in this novel.

The writing in this book was superb. It was so cleverly written that I did not suspect any of the plot twists. When I got to the first twist in the novel I was completely thrown off guard. As it says in the synopsis, assume nothing. Seriously. I always keep a notebook handy when I am reading a book. I am a diligent note-taker, and I am not kidding, when I hit that first twist I had to write a big X through all of my notes. Everything I thought I knew was completely wrong. I couldn’t believe I had read almost half of the book and had gotten everything wrong. The way the authors write was just the perfect set-up to get the reader to think the way that they want so when you get to the twist you are completely blown away. It is so well-done and clever. I applaud these ladies.

I am not going to comment on the plot or the characters in this review. There is no way to go into any of that without spoiling the book. Just know that when I say this is one of the best psychological thrillers I’ve read that I am telling the truth. If you at all love thrillers with unpredictable twists and turns, then this is the book for you. I have a feeling this is going to be in my top ten reads of 2018. I am rating this book a solid 5 out of 5 stars!
