Book Unhaul

Yesterday, my friend and I decided we had way too many books that we just weren’t going to pick up or read again so we decided to do an unhaul. This is my first unhaul ever and I have to say, IT FELT SO GOOD! It needed to be done. Now I have room for more books! Haha. Pretty counter-productive, but whatever! We went to two of our local bookstores first to see what we could get. I got $30 store credit at the first store and ended up walking away with 5 Stephen King books in return. I got $16 store credit at the next store and ended getting 2 more Stephen King books and The Perks of Being a Wallflower! Whatever we had left over that the bookstores didn’t take, we dropped off at our local Goodwill. Overall, it was a successful day!! Let me share with you the books that I decided to unhaul!

Here I have books that I bought at Goodwill and still haven’t read. I decided I probably won’t ever get around to reading them. I just lost interest.

The two Dan Brown books I have read. I only got rid of these ones because I had copies of them in hardcover. I prefer hardcover books so I got rid of the paperback versions I had.

Here I have some books I got at BookCon 2016. I’ve only read Warrior. I’ve had these sitting around for about a year and a half and have no intentions of reading them. They had to go.

Here I have a bunch of books that I won from BookCon 2016. I just don’t feel like reading these ones. These too have been sitting around for a year and a half. I do have a few of the audiobooks for some of the books above and decided to just keep the audio versions.

Here are books that I’ve had for years. Like probably 10+ years. I read The Lovely Bones and just didn’t care for it. I know I won’t be re-reading it. I have a newer version of Someone Like You so I decided to get rid of this one. I’ve tried reading The Princess Diaries a few times and just couldn’t get into it.

Now, these books I love. No worries about that. I have all of Cassie Clare’s books on my Kindle and there’s just no point to keeping the hardcover version of Clockwork Princess. Same goes for Winter. I have the whole series on my Kindle already. I actually have the audiobooks for this series too. I don’t need the hardcover version as well.

For some reason I didn’t get a picture of these books. I missed them somehow. Anyway, I got rid of Truthwitch, Replica, The Thousandth Floor, and The Raven Boys. I have read all of these and I am getting rid of them because I just didn’t like them and I will not be continuing on with any of these series. (I read all The Raven Boys books and didn’t like the series.)

That wraps up my first unhaul. It felt great to get rid of books that I’m just never going to read. I hope you enjoyed reading! ‘Til next time!

  1. What a great unhaul! I really enjoyed The Mummy by Anne Rice. It was one of the first books by her I read (when I went through an Egyptian phase as a preteen).

    1. I just got the Dark Tower box set for my birthday in December! I plan on starting really soon. I’m working on collecting all of his books! I wouldn’t worry too much about The Raven Boys. I’m in the minority when it comes to not liking that series. And I didn’t hate it, I just didn’t love it like everyone else seems to.

  3. Yes, I looove unhauling posts! I had an unhaul about a month ago as well! The Raven Boys was also on mine. I just didn’t connect with any of the characters and I felt a bit guilty because it’s so beloved by the book blogging community. I just donated mine to the local library so at least someone else out there will appreciate it more.
